Septic Inspections

Looking to buy a home with a septic system? Give us a call during your inspection window and have our highly trained inspectors evaluate the condition of the septic system. Our office staff will coordinate with all parties involved in the sale to make the process as smooth as possible.

Our process:

• Locate the septic tank with measurements provided by the town hall or flushable locating devices.
• Cut/remove all of the sod and place it on a tarp to be used for future use
• Expose the septic tank and evaluate the liquid level and scum layer
• Pump and remove the scum, water, and sludge using a high-power pump and mixing rod
• Use a flashlight and mirror to look for cracks or deficiencies in your septic tank. If any are found, we will take a photo with a camera.
• Evaluate the sewer line flow by flushing the toilet
• Locate and probe into the existing leaching system to look for saturation and wet spots in the yard.
• Look inside the house for water treatment systems and determine if it discharges into the septic.
• Assess the leaching system using an HD fiber optic camera.
• If any deficiencies are found, we will discuss the issues and provide you with the septic system repair services.
• We will write a detailed report on the septic system and email it to you within 48 hours.
